Manual Handling Train the Trainer · On-site delivery
Develop your colleagues’ subject knowledge and their delivery together. Through discussion, practical work and teaching practice, we help them explain manual handling clearly, involve learners and relate the session to your workplace.
Discuss your training needsThis programme is for people who will deliver manual handling training within their organisation. We discuss their existing knowledge, experience and intended training responsibilities before recommending a format.
Need training for staff instead? Explore Manual Handling AwarenessWe offer two- and three-day programmes. The agreed programme, group size and price are confirmed in your quotation.
Explore manual handling responsibilities, task-related risks, available controls and relevant workplace examples.
Connect the topic with the people attending, the tasks they do and the learning they need.
Practise clear explanations and demonstrations using agreed loads and equipment.
Use questions, discussion and practical activities to encourage participation.
Develop the way you observe practical activities and discuss what learners could improve.
Try out teaching activities, receive feedback and reflect on what to develop next.
We discuss the tasks, equipment and environments your colleagues will be teaching in. Where appropriate to the agreed programme, this can include an introduction to relevant assessment tools and how they support the training discussion.
Completing a trainer programme does not by itself make someone competent to teach every task or undertake every assessment. Your organisation still needs to define the trainer’s scope and provide suitable support and review.
“Your practical approach and the way you delivered the sessions made the training both engaging and useful.”
